English Premier League

The English Premier League is getting interesting every year, Man City signing Robinho last minute with the backing of cash-rich owner, Gallas's bizzare outburst & stripped of captaincy, Anelka's rich vein of form etc.. Anelka was a flop in Liverpool and Man City. I was utterly suprise that Anelka managed to hit top form in Chelsea and started scoring goals regularly. Besides that, there were suprise results this weekend. 3 teams of EPL's big four drew goalless and Arsenal slumped to their fifth Premier League defeat of the season after going down 3-0 to Mark Hughes's Man City. Personally i am a Man Utd fan. However, when Arsenal lost, Chelsea & Liverpool drew respectively, with MU playing later, i thought MU would cut the lead by getting 3 points at Villa Park. However, MU drew 0-0, no thanks to a glaring miss by Wayne Rooney. After 2 stunning goals against Stoke, Ronaldo failed to hit the net at Villa Park. Without Berbatov, MU lacking the firepower needed. I opined that Aston Villa were brilliant this season this season under the guidance of Martin O'Neill. Beating Arsenal, they have the finest players in EPL : Gabriel Agbonlahor, Ashley Young and Gareth Barry. Who knows, Aston Villa might break into the top 4 this season. I am looking forward to that. Arsenal is in deep crisis now, Gallas, horrible captain screwing up and Wenger relying heavily on his youngsters. I doubt Arsenal can win the title now.. Maybe a 3rd or 4th place would be a more realistic target for Wenger's men. Ok, i put up a new poll for u guys to vote who will win the EPL this season. Well, the league is still in an early stage and still many games to go. Every team(maybe MU or Chelsea) has a chance to win the league. I hope MU can win a treble of EPL crown. =)
